(3)阅读真题

真题无价，在踏踏实实的吃透真题，充分吸收其养分的基础之上，有必要做一些模拟题。而成功的模拟题的作用仅仅在于帮考生寻找实战感觉，进一步熟悉命题思路，解题策略。在模拟题问题上，很多考生感觉及其困惑：不做吧，真题已经太熟，答案都可以背下来的，再简单的重复那几道题目只有一种感觉：浪费时间。做吧，有的模拟题根本就和考试真题思路完全不一样。还是以完型为例，完型填空首句一般不出题，出题也绝对不针对实词，因为首句一般统揽全文，起到的是开门见山的作用，所提供的信息大多是为解决后面题目的`重要线索。但是现在很多模拟题不仅首句出题，而且针对实词。
选择完型模拟题首先看首句，一般是完整的，即使出题也不应该针对实词;其次看长度，一般是280词左右，除开选项，文章最短不宜低于250词(因为真题2006年单词数最少，为255词)，最长不宜超过300词;其三，浏览选项，应该发现有不少熟悉的面孔，因为考研完型部分的词有很多都是反复出现的，如果“熟人太少”，该题至少对出题特点的把握不是非常好。同时，看选项中是否有近形近义辨析，如果没有而且词汇很难，则有可能是六级原题;如果选项中出现一个单词的多种形式，比如说时态变化等，则有可能是四级考试原题，不建议选择。最后，看选项中有无针对上下文衔接关系的衔接词设计，因为如前所述，衔接关系是近些年考查的热点。
满足以上条件之后，模拟题最好备有详解，因为准备详解的过程其实可以让出题人的思维更严谨，这样一来出题也就会反复思考，慎重很多。而对备考考生来说，这也是更加明智的选择，因为我们总是希望对得清楚，错得明白。因为只要我们把错误搞清楚，并且可以保证今后不再犯同样的错误，这本身就是我们进步的一个极佳方式。
